Beyerdynamic Bows Customizable Headphone Model

LAS VEGAS — Beyerdynamic will present a variety of new headphones at International CES, including its customizable Custom One Pro model. The company can be found at booth 21445 in the South Hall.

The Custom One Pro features what the company calls flexible style kits, allowing users to change the rings, covers and cushions on the ear pads, as well as the cushioned headband. The cables can be modified for different lengths and designs.

The headphones have a Custom Sound Slider with flexible bass reflex vents on the ear cups to change the sound characteristic in four stages. When the vents are closed, they keep the transducer membranes under strict control, which produces a streamlined, analytical sound, Beyerdynamic said. Every notch on the slider adds another layer.

The Slider also transforms the Custom One Pro from an open to a closed headphone for added noise cancellation.

The Custom One Pro have 16-ohm drivers, a maximum volume of 116 decibels, frequency response of 5Hz to 35kHz, and power handling capacity of 100mW.

Suggested retail is $299.

Beyerdynamic will also launch its Tesla T 90 headphones, which feature an open construction and a $699 price tag. They are the only Tesla headphones available in the open design, the company said.

Finally, the company will show off its DTX 501p headphones, offered in black and white versions. The foldable headphones are billed as being extremely lightweight and ideal for travelers. A carrying case and travel adapter are included.

Frequency range is listed at 20Hz to 20kHz with an impedance of 32 ohms. Suggested retail is $129.
