iLuv Accessories Debut During IFA
PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. — iLuv announced a variety of new consumer electronics accessories at the IFA show held in Berlin earlier this month, including its expanded line of Bluetooth speakers.
The MobiTour (iSP202) speaker is designed for travelers and features a compact size, built-in MiniUSB port, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, volume and play/pause controls, and an aux-in port.
The VibroBlue Bluetooth wireless speaker and alarm clock with shaker (iMM157) can act as a speaker dock. It features a 1-amp USB charging port, aux-in jack and LCD display with dimmer control.
Prices range from $49.99 to $119. The company added to its earphones with the introduction of its Neon Sound line, as well as the Jet- Turbo and Rock On products. The Neon Sound and JetTurbo earphones come with in-line mic and controls, and all three lines are offered in a variety of colors. All three have 8.6mm drivers and frequency ranges of 16Hz to 22kHz.
Pricing will range from $24.99 to $39.99.
Jabra Steps Up Speakerphones With New Solemate
NASHUA, N.H. — Jabra launched a wireless Bluetooth speaker with a design meant to mimic a sneaker.
The Solemate feature a rubber base, or “sole,” that also stores a 3.mm cable to use with devices lacking Bluetooth. It has an omnidirectional microphone, allowing it double as a speakerphone.
Other features include Digital Signal Processing technology, one-touch pairing with voice guidance, a mute function and volume controls. It comes with a carry case that can also provide water and sand protection while the Solemate is in use.
Jabra also announced it has partnered with ClubCreate to let consumers create their own shareable music remixes.
The Solemate, which measures 6.77 inches by 2.52 inches by 2.76 inches, is currently available in black or white for a $199 suggested retail.
SOL Launches eBay Store, Michael Phelps Headphones
SAN JOSE, CALIF. — SOL Republic has launched an official store on eBay, which it celebrated by auctioning off headphones worn and autographed by Olympian Michael Phelps.
Proceeds from the auction were to go to the Michael Phelps Foundation, which “focuses on growing the sport of swimming and promoting healthy and active lives for children.”
SOL also said it will offer a line of Phelps-inspired Tracks HD Anthem headphones that feature a red, white and blue design. A portion of these sales will be donated to the charity as well.
