Mimobot Adds Sulu To Star Trek Drive Line
BOSTON — Mimobot has expanded its exclusive line of Star Trek character flash drives, adding a limited 1,000-unit release of Captain Hikari Sulu.
The USB 3.0 drive features Sulu in his gold Enterprise command uniform holding a phaser. It has a 128GB memory and comes preloaded with MimoDesk’s personalization suite of wallpapers, icons and avatars. It also comes preloaded with Mimo- Byte sound software offering iconic Star Trek sounds and Sulu character dialogue that plays each time it is inserted or ejected from a user’s computer.
Genius Ships ‘Green’ Battery-Less Mouse
CHINO, CALIF. – Genius is shipping its rechargeable NX-Eco battery-free BlueEye wireless notebook mouse, which uses a long-life gold-plated capacitor that fully recharges in three minutes.
Shipping with a plastic Stick-N-Go mount to attach it to a notebook and a 2.4GHz USB pico receiver, the NX-Eco’s capacitor can withstand more than 100,000 recharges, drastically cutting down on the disposal of environmentally unfriendly disposable batteries, the company said.
It charges via an included MicroUSB cable, which can be stored inside the mouse when not in use.
The NX-Eco BlueEye sensor technology is said to allow for use on virtually any surface, including dusted glass, marble and thick carpet.
Featuring left click, right click, scroll and DPI adjust (800/1,600 dpi) buttons, the NX-Eco is plug and play and designed for use with either hand. It has a suggested retail of $39.99.
