INDIANAPOLIS — Mounts manufacturers are going front and center at the CEDIA Expo, with a number of companies exhibiting their new and recent devices.
ArtMotion Technology is exhibiting at the show for the first time. The company offers custom made-to-order flat screen TV art frames and concealers that resemble open windows with shutters.
The Standard version is a thin, lightweight frame that attaches to an already installed wall-mounted flat-panel TV with four wing-nut twist fasteners.
The Deluxe version is a one-piece decorative frame with an integrated French cleat-style wall mount that is attached to wall studs. Once the unit is attached to the TV and installed, it can open downward via a locking latch on the top for access to the back of the TV for wiring.
The Ultimate version installs and operates like the Deluxe, but integrates a completely contained 10-speaker audio system and a 1,000-watt amp.
All three accommodate flat panels from 37 to 65 inches. Prices range from $800 to $4,650.
Bracketron is traveling to the Circle City to launch its latest version of the iRoom iDock: the Custom Design model. The new motorized in-wall iPad mount lets “almost any” color, image or pattern to be printed on the dock’s bezel.
It’s offered in portrait and landscape orientations. Pricing starts at $1,088 for the iRoom iDock, with the Custom Design starting for an extra $50.
Crimson AV will show off its new series of ultra-thin articulating A/V mounts, including the AU42 ($199) and AU65 ($249) models.
The mounts are engineered to hold flat-panel TVs from 1.09 to 21 inches from the wall. The AU42 is meant for TVs measuring 13 to 42 inches, while the AU65 is for TVs measuring 13 to 65 inches. Shipping is scheduled for October.
Chief will display two new ceiling mounts, the LCM1U and MCM1U, for home-theater spaces. Both enable cables to run through the ceiling, and both feature Centris fingertip tilt technology. They will ship at the end of this month.
OmniMount is using the show to launch its new line of full-motion mounts, scheduled to ship in October. Models OS35FM ($79.95), OS60FM ($169) and OS- 120FM ($249) are designed with patented gravity tilt that can be set right out of the box and adjusted at any time. Features include cable management, die-cast materials, quick-install guides and full instruction manuals.
The OS35FM is for TVs measuring 13 to 37 inches and weighing up to 35 pounds. The OS60FM is for TVs measuring 32 to 50 inches and up to 60 pounds, and the OS120FM is for TVs measuring 42 to 70 inches and up to 120 pounds.
Sanus is showing its recently launched VTM1-S1 iPad mount that lets the tablet be mounted in four different way. It can be used as a free-standing unit on flat surfaces; mounted to wood, concrete or drywall; mounted under a cabinet; or attached via magnet to most metal surfaces, the company said.
It comes with the transparent polycarbonate MagFit case that features a built-in neodymium magnetic connector, allowing the case to detach from the VTM1-S1’s mounting bracket/stand without tools, or attach to a magnetic surface. Shipping is scheduled for October for a $99.99 suggested retail.
