Maxell has two exciting opportunities available in Woodland Park, NJ for individuals with Product Development/Product Management expertise.
Director, Product Development and Marketing - Consumer Products Group
Aggressive, creative and motivated Director needed to lead all marketing and sales support for new product development in our Consumer Products Group.
This role will be responsible for the development of both new products and new business categories for the Consumer Products Group. Candidates must have extensive experience in the entire new product development cycle, managing new products from their conception to production through market introduction. Responsibilities include creating, sourcing, negotiating, designing, marketing, positioning, selling, presenting and pricing for all new products/new product categories. Work closely with sales and marketing to achieve company goals and increase sales and distribution of Maxell products. Manage P&L for all new products and categoriesdeveloped and introduced to the US Market.
The candidate should have:
· Bachelor’s Degree in business or marketing. Engineering would be a plus.
· 10 years + experience in the Consumer Electronics/Technology industry for Product Development, Product Management and Retail Channel Marketing.
· Expertise in entire product development process
· Technology aptitude and creative vision
· Strong communications, interpersonal skills and presentation skills
· Advanced knowledge of MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Publisher
· Excellent time management skills
· Strong analytical skills; experience with budgeting
· Travel, both domestic and overseas, as necessary.

Product Manager - Consumer Accessories
Experienced individual needed to manage our consumer accessory product lines, including headphones, portable speakers and care & maintenance, through the product lifecycle.
Work with Maxell overseas offices, as well as domestic partners, to creatively develop and source new products and new ideas. Responsibilities include development of product and packaging, cost negotiations and pricing structures, all sales material and collateral, product launch and inventory level maintenance. Monitor industry trends, retail environment and competitive landscape. Represent Maxell as the category expert at trade shows and customer meetings.
Ideal candidate is creative and visionary, a team player but also able to focus autonomously, and with a passion for technology. 3-5 years experience in consumer electronics product marketing is required.
