LAS VEGAS —
Fujifilm North America (booths Central
13038, N234 and N237) unveils 16 FinePix point-andshoot
camera models that offer a complete range of features
and price points.
Entry models include the FinePix AV200 (shipping in
February at a $100 suggested retail), AX300, and JV200
(February, $110) cameras, all with 14-megapixel resolution,
2.7-inch LCD screens and face-detection technology.
A-series models have 3x and 5x Fujinon optical zoom
lens options and AA-battery power while the JV200 has a
3x optical zoom lens and rechargeable li-ion battery.
The FinePix JX300 (February, $130) and JX350
(March, $160) feature 14- and 16-megapixel resolution,
respectively, and f2.6 Fujinon 5x wide-angle zoom lens,
2.7-inch LCD screen, li-ion batteries and 720p HD video
capabilities.
The FinePix Z90 (shipping mid-January at $170) is a
gen-6 Z-series model offering a sleek metal chassis, six
color options, 14-megapixel resolution, 5x Fujinon zoom,
3-inch touchpanel LCD, Facebook/YouTube uploading,
in-camera editing and sequential 720 HD movie capture.
Shipping in March, the FinePix T200 ($180) and
T300 ($200) point-and-shoots feature 10x zoom lenses,
14-megapixel resolution, face recognition, dual image stabilization,
SR Auto and multi-frame shooting capabilities,
and 720p HD Movie capture. The T200 offers a 2.7-inch
LCD, while the T300 has a 3-inch screen.
The FinePix XP20 (March, $200) and XP30 (mid-January,
$230) are weather-resistant cameras with 14-megapixel
resolution, 5x wide-angle zoom lenses and 2.7-inch
LCDs. Both have dual image stabilization, SR auto, face
detection and 720p HD video capture. The XP30 also
adds GPS geo-tagging.
Shipping by early February will be the FinePix S2950
($230), S3200 ($250) and S4000 ($280) SLR-styled
cameras. All offer creative control, precision optics,
14-megapixel resolution, 3-inch LCD screens plus electronic
viewfinders and 18x Fujinon wide-angle zooms. All
three models feature dual image stabilization, SR Auto,
face detection, tracking auto focus, full manual controls
and 720p movie capture. The S3200 and S4000 add
Face Recognition MPEG4 with H.264 high profile compression
movie capture.
Other new models include the FinePix F500EXR (February,
$330) and F550EXR (February, $350), which are
slim-design full-featured 16-megapixel models with SLRlike
EXR-CMOS sensors, Fujinon 15x super zoom lenses,
3-inch LCDs, 12 fps burst shooting, full panoramic photos,
1080p video capture, up to 400 fps high-speed video capture,
and the ability to store images in RAW, JPEG or both
formats.
The FinePix HS20EXR (March, $500) adds
similar features plus 30x manual optical zoom
(24mm-720mm equivalent), tilting 3-inch LCD
with an electronic viewfinder, 7.6 fps burst
shooting speed, 320 fps high-speed movie
capture and 1080p HD video resolution. It will
also accept optional external TTL speed flash
accessories.
