Roundtable Talks Tsunami, Trends

NEW YORK – Digital imaging company executives brought both good
news and bad news to TWICE’s recent annual Imaging Executives
Roundtable.
The bad news is that the Fukushima tsunami crippled inventory levels
over much of the first half of the year, limiting sales, promotions and consumer demand.
The good news is that the worst of it is over and business is pretty much back to normal, bringing with it renewed
demand for higher-ticket camera products at a time when the global economic meltdown has hobbled
demand for many other product segments.
What follows are edited transcriptions of our discussion with leading imaging sales and marketing executives
addressing some of the hot-button issues of the year to date.
