LAS VEGAS — Both Panasonic and SanDisk will have 32GB SDHC memory cards on the market by the spring.

Panasonic's card, announced at International CES, was just given a price tag last week. The Class 6 memory card will retail for $699.

Given its prospective use in HD camcorders, the SDHC card will have blank labels on the front and back to allow consumers to jot down relevant information. The blank label concept will be introduced on all of Panasonic's SD cards going forward, the company said.

SanDisk announced its own 32GB SDHC card at PMA. It's a Class 4 card and will retail for $349.

The card will fall in the firm's Ultra II line, which will also get a new 16GB SDHC card ($179) and an 8GB SDHC Plus card, which incorporates a USB pin inside the SD card form factor. The Plus card will retail for $99. Both the 16GB SDHC and the 8GB SDHC Plus card will ship in March while the 32GB card follows in April.

All of SanDisk's Ultra II cards offer 15MBps read and write speeds.
