SECAUCUS, N.J. — Panasonic has
introduced the Lumix DMC-FX75 super-
slim digital camera with a 5x optical
24mm ultra-wide-angle F2.2 Leica
DC Vario-Summicron zoom lens.
The camera features 14.1-megapixel
resolution and HD video recording
in the AVCHD Lite format.
To complement the high-quality
video, the Lumix FX75 also features
Dolby Digital Creator to record highquality
audio. For those users who
are recording HD video to view on a
computer screen, they also have the
option to record in Motion JPEG, as
well as WVGA (848 by 480) and VGA
(640 by 480).
Also included is a 3-inch touchscreen
LCD, enabling selective control
of autofocus (AF) on a subject by
image on the screen. The FX75 then
tracks the subject with the AF tracking
feature.
In playback mode, users can drag
an image across the screen with their
finger to browse the collection of photos,
as though it is a page in a book.
Also included is Panasonic’s iA
(Intelligent Auto) mode with a new
Motion Deblur mode that updates
the motion detection (Intelligent ISO
Control) and brightness control (Intelligent
Exposure) to gain the highest
shutter speed possible.
The Power optical image stabilizer
(OIS) uses the bright lens to reduce
blur created from handshake or the
subject moving.
The camera also offers HDMI output
and support for the SD/SDHC/
SDXC memory cards.
Pricing and availability will be announced
30 days prior to the product
release.
