DXG Intros HD Video Camera

LAS VEGAS – Low-cost digital camera maker DXG will introduce two new flash memory based video recorders at International CES.

The DXG-566V HD snaps 5-megapixel still images and records HD video at 1280 by 720p resolution at 30fps. It features a 3-inch LCD screen, 32MB of internal memory with an SDHC expansion slot, and a 2x digital zoom. It will ship this month for a suggested $149."

The 565V also uses a 5-megapixel CMOS sensor but records video at 720 by 480/30fps. It sports a 4x digital zoom, 2.4-inch LCD display, 32MB of internal memory with an SDHC expansion slot (4GB maximum). It draws power from four AAA batteries. Pricing and availability were not announced.
