Online bedding competitor Casper is taking it to the street, giving independent dealers that depend on mattress margins cause for concern. After opening in-store shops at West Elm last year, and signing a similar deal this summer with Target, the sleep resource said it will open 15 pop-up stores in major metro areas across the continent this fall, including New York, Los Angeles and Chicago.
Mere weeks after launching a new butt-supporting mattress design, Casper has announced a gasp-worthy gambit to further change up the mattress industry: brick and mortar stores.
