Maingear Bows Gaming Laptops

– Maingear Computers introduced two gaming notebooks on Thursday. 

The eX-L 15, with
a base price of $1,899, features Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 260m graphics processing
unit, a screen resolution of up to 1,920 by 1,200, support for Intel Core 2
45nm processors, and dual-channel DDR3 memory up to 8GB. It also has optional
Intel TurboMemory modules for quick boot times and responsive multitasking,
along with single SATA hard drive supporting up to 1TB spinning disks and 160GB
solid-state drives, said the company. It comes with a DVD burner, and a Blu-ray
Disc drive is optional.

The second
notebook, the mX-L 15, offers Nvidia GeForce G105m with 512MB DDR2, a
2-megapixel video camera, fingerprint scanner, HDMI output and Intel Turbo
Memory 2.0. It also comes with a DVD burner and an optional Blu-ray Disc drive.
The mX-L 15 will be available in September. A spokesman for the company said
pricing hadn’t been determined.
