Panasonic and Thomson said that they would participate in a home- and business-phone recycling program through Staples.
The program is designed to lure consumers into purchasing a new DECT cordless or multiline business phone.
When a consumer brings in an old phone to Staples and buys one of the eligible Panasonic or Thomson phones, they will receive $30 back in Staples Rewards.
There will be twelve eligible Panasonic DECT cordless models, starting at $74.99.
Thomson will offer two GE-branded DECT home phones, two RCA-branded two-line phones and three RCA-branded four line models, plus an accessory handset.
Prices will range from $79 for the accessory handset to $179.
The promotion will run from Oct. 12 to Nov. 15.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
