Rockford Launches “Lottery” Promo

Rockford Fosgate is offering a first-of-its-kind “lottery ticket” dealer incentive program for the 12-volt market.

Called Money Madness, the promotion provides special scratch-off “lottery tickets” to salesman and other retailer employees on the basis of the number of Rockford Fosgate items they sell, including accessories. Grand prize winners can receive up to $250,000, and there are 45 chances to win this jackpot, according to Rockford's national sales manager Rob Wempe.

The program is a collaboration between Dallas-based SCA Promotions and Rockford Fosgate. SCA sponsors such promotions as the Pepsi Billion Dollar Giveaway and other contests of chance.

The SCA backs such promotions, said a Rockford spokeswoman, “based on the on the way the odds work,” and added, “If they feel comfortable in offering the program, they actually take the risk if someone gets the jackpot.”

The contest also offers many secondary cash and other prizes, including motocross motorcycles and Fender guitars.
