Pioneer just began shipping the next version of its single-DIN audio/video/navigation series called the AVIC-N4.
The unit adds a larger screen, iPod control through the iBus and stereo Bluetooth capability to the AVIC-N series at a price point $200 below that of the previous AVIC-N3.
The AVIC-N4 has a 7-inch screen and allows playback of a CD or DVD once a destination is input into memory. It supports XM NavTraffic real-time traffic with an optional tuner. The unit offers iPod control from a virtual scroll wheel on the N4's screen, with an optional iPod cable. It comes with two DVDs of maps of the full United States and Canada and will be available at a suggested retail of $1,600.
