Samsung Telecommunications America announced a long-term sponsorship agreement making Samsung the official wireless phone manufacturer of singer Britney Spears and her 33-city "Dream Within A Dream" concert tour.
The sponsorship of the 33-city tour includes retail marketing programs to promote three soon-to-be launched wireless phones: the SGH-r225M, SPH-a500, and SPH-n400.
The promotional activities surrounding the concert include retail point of purchase materials and multimedia elements in retail stores across the United States and Canada.
Samsung is also promoting its sponsorship of Spears' tour with a radio advertising buy in each concert market and radio promotional contests, which allow winners to attend pre-concert sound checks and view the concert from a VIP suite. Winners will be transported to and from the concert via luxury bus.
Samsung will showcase wireless handset displays and interactive exhibits at each concert venue.
Samsung also joined WFX: Wireless Fan Access to launch "Britney WFX," the official Britney Spears wireless fan club. Britney WFX debuted in about 500 Best Buy stores.
Through the partnership, fan club members receive surprise voice and text messages from Britney Spears, lifestyle and fashion tips, exclusive logos and picture messages, horoscopes, fan polls and monthly contests on their wireless phones.
