San Antonio — The Progressive Retailers Organization was at the Westin La Cantera Hill Coun
DALLAS — Sunbelt Associates and Distributing and Southwest Electronics, both in Carrollton, Texas, and Electronic Lane, Dallas, are jointly sponsoring the Consumer Electronics Expo to be held here.
The show, first held in 2005, is unusual in that three rep firms combined to sponsor the event. The Expo expects 70 suppliers this year and hopes to attract 1,600 to 1,800 retailers in the Oklahoma, Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas region (compared to 1,300 retailers last year). The Expo will be held March 18 and 19 at the Marriott Quorum.
Another dealer event will be held by Pittsburg-based End Result, April 4 and 5 at the Holiday Inn Meadowlands in Pittsburgh.
BREA, Calif. — Audiobahn is sponsoring a “Design a Woofer Contest” on its new Web site. Contestants can sketch creative woofer cone designs for a grand prize that includes $500 worth of Audiobahn product.
