MEMPHIS, TENN. — Memphis Car Audio recently began shipping new high-end M Class component speakers that feature blue silk dome tweeters. Memphis claims the line has been newly engineered for sound quality in a car environment. It features injection-molded composite baskets, instead of metal, to prevent adding "color" to the sound. The speakers come with woven Kevlar and fiberglass cones. Suggested retail prices are $350 per pair for a 5.25-inch model and $400 for a 6.5-inch model.
EL PASO, TEXAS — Rocky Mountain Radar is shipping the RMR-D250 radar detector that is able to detect all types of radar (including Instant-On and POP) and laser radar with enhanced accuracy, according to the company. Features include voice alert, signal strength indicator and digital readout at a suggested retail price of $199.
