Mitek outlined a 2003 strategy at CES that will include raising the bar on its Xtant high-end line to new high price points, and broadening the Coustic line, also to higher prices.

Among the new products that debuted at the show is an Xtant 1.1i full-range Class D amplifier, which is able to deliver accurate sound even at high frequencies, because it is 50 percent faster than other Class D amplifiers, the company said. The 100-watt mono block unit at 2 ohms or 4 ohms is expected to carry a suggested retail price of $349.

Under the MTX brand, Mitek showed its new Thunder T9500 subwoofers featuring high power handling from 750 watts to 1,000 watts RMS at suggested retail prices from $449 to $649.
