The Mobile Enhancement Retailers Association MERA, will hold its annual KnowledgeFest on March 15 to 18 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, Ky.
A key topic at the KnowledgeFest trade gathering will be MERA's new alliance with Brand Source, resulting in the newly launched Mobile Entertainment Source buying group. Jim Ristow, executive VP of Brand Source's Home Entertainment Source division, will speak at KnowledgeFest's "town meeting." He will be joined by Barry Vogel, VP of MERA and president of The Ultimate Edge in Oswego, N.Y.
Also at KnowledgeFest, MERA will display a near-life-sized "MERA Model Store and Installation Bay." It includes a replica of a sample storefront suitable for the future of 12-volt electronics. Inside will be sample merchandise displays and demonstrations of merchandising techniques. The installation bay of the model store will include a 2007 Mini Cooper S (R56) that will demonstrate how to overcome installation obstacles in the "difficult" dashboard.
