Jensen claims it will offer one of the most extensive lines in in-dash video this year with nine units to ship at various times throughout the year. The company has changed cosmetics for 2007 and leads with a model at one of the most aggressive price points of a suggested $499, or an expected street price of $399.
The single-DIN VM 9312 is an all-in-one unit that does not require a separate black box. It is an AM/FM/DVD with a 7-inch flip-out screen, which is iPod and satellite ready. It also offers RDS and MP3 capability and ships in February.
At the high end of Jensen's lineup is the VM 9512 single-DIN at a suggested $799 or an expected street price of $699. It has two DVD processors for better and faster processing and it adds built-in stereo Bluetooth, USB interface, SD card slot, spectrum analyzer, multizone capability, Dolby Digital and Pro Logic and swivel screen. Shipping is expected in March.
