Elevation Audio Heads West

Elevation Audio is expanding its distribution to the Midwest and West Coast after years of offering its boutique car audio products mainly in the east.

The seven-year-old company, which manufacturers its own products in upstate New York, said it hired rep firms for the Midwest and West Coast and is looking to expand beyond its dealer base of approximately 150 car stereo specialist accounts.

Elevation Audio owner Joe Belmonte said the in-house manufacturing allows the company to have quick turnaround times and to avoid other problems common to “oriental build houses,” such as “shortages and long build times.”

“If we want to change a part on a woofer, it takes us five days vs. five months. And the style is unique,” claimed Belmonte.

The company's products range in price from $99 to $649 for subwoofers, $179 to $699 for amplifiers and $69 to $349 per pair for speakers. Products have a two-year warranty.
