Atlanta — EarthLink Wireless joined Cingular in offering the Palm-based Treo 650 PDA phone, but the EDGE-equipped version from EarthLink is bundled with personalized content and such server-side services as spamBlocker and Virus Blocker.

The quadband PDA phone is palmOne's first EDGE-equipped PDA phone and is available through EarthLink at a suggested $599 before rebate. The worldphone receives voice calls in 170 countries, and it accesses data at speeds averaging up to 135Kbps.

Other features include EarthLink's personal start page, which lets users set up customized content for wireless delivery. EarthLink also offers over-the-air address book synchronization with EarthLink's server.

Sanyo Adds Colors

OVERLAND PARK, KAN. — Two Sanyo phones launched by Sprint significantly expand subscribers' color choices, the carrier said.

The recently introduced Voice Phone SCP-200 Sprint PCS Vision Phone VI-2300 from Sanyo are available in a total of nine different color options.

The SCP-200 is offered in silver, Atlantic blue and pink fusion. The VI-2300 will be available in six colors, initially in silver and soon in blue ice, graphite, champagne rose, satin red and deep forest green. The SCP-200 retails at a suggested $169.99, or $19.99 after rebate; the VI-2300 retails for a suggested $189.99, or $39.99 after rebate with a new term service agreement. Sprint also announced a new line of color- coordinated accessories, including headsets and carrying cases in colors designed to match the new phones.
