Beltronics is entering two new product segments this year: custom installation radar and performance parts.
The company will ship this spring its first installer-aimed remote radar/laser detector, the RX75R, at $699 suggested list. Targeting the 12-volt specialist, it can be combined with a front and rear Laser Pro LP904 laser jammer. Beltronics also provides a ProPack for voice capability and an installer interface module for simplified installation at a price of $1,400 installed.
Beltronics is also entering the "tuner" market with two performance timer accelerometers. The units measure 0-to-60 acceleration, quarter-mile times, cornering, horsepower and G-Force. The basic model, Vector Pro GX-1, has an LCD display, while the GX-2 has a vacuum fluorescent display. Suggested retails are $149.95 and $249.95, respectively.
