Samsung Launches Bluetooth Headset With Charging Cradle

DALLAS —

Samsung Telecommunications
America introduced a Bluetooth
headset last week that comes with a
foldable charging cradle.

The HM7000 comes with a portable
charging cradle and will be available for
$99.99 at T-Mobile
retail stores nationwide
and online this
month and at select
RadioShack stores
starting in November.
It has a slim design
with a textured
finish and chrome
metal details, and
an ear gel design
meant for comfort,
according to the
company.

The charging cradle
can unfold into
a desktop dock,
and can fully charge
the HM7000 up
to three additional
times while on the go, Samsung said.
The case also has an on/off switch, and
there are LED battery-status indicators
on both the case and the headset.

The HM7000 features Samsung’s
Isolat dual-microphone noise-reduction
and echo-cancellation technology. It
also has a boom mic for enhanced call
clarity.

Voice commands
and voice prompts
come standard, and
users can download
the Samsung Free-
Sync Android app
for text-to-speech
capability for email
and text messaging,
social-media feed
updates and caller
ID, among other
things.

Talk time is listed
at four hours (up to
16 hours with the
charging unit), with
standby time of 160
hours (640 hours
with charging unit).

It uses Bluetooth 3.0 and has A2DP
support.
