Motorola Announces Bluetooth Accessories

Motorola recently announced two Bluetooth accessories.

The MotoRokr T505 Bluetooth in-car speakerphone and digital FM transmitter is billed by the company as its first road-ready, music-oriented Rokr accessory. The T505 is designed to allow users to connect a compatible Bluetooth enabled phone to the car sound system for hands-free calling and music in stereo sound.

To use, drivers clip the device to a car’s visor and pair the T505 using Motorola’s EasyPair technology to a compatible Bluetooth device. When the T505 is connected to a stereo Bluetooth phone or an MP3 player, calls and music are streamed wirelessly. Drivers with standard Bluetooth phones can use the T505 to make and take their calls over the car stereo.

By offering StationFinder, which announces where the best FM connection can be found on the user’s car radio, according to Motorola, the T505 mutes the music when calls come in and audibly announces the caller ID. Echo- and noise-reduction technology, a built-in microphone and 2-watt speaker are also included.

The T505 is expected to become available in the first quarter of 2008. Pricing was not available at press time.

The company also launched the MotoPure H12 universal Bluetooth headset, It is the company’s first headset with their CrystalTalk audio-enhancing technology for headsets.

The headset’s version of CrystalTalk technology — previously only found in select Motorola handsets — is always on to enhance the audio experience without any sort of user intervention, said the company. The H12 uses dual microphones to separate the user’s voice from background and wind noise, “enhancing the user’s voice and channeling pure, clear, natural sounding audio to the caller,” it said.

Also featured are the TrueComfort ear bud design. Motorola said it based the design on its ergonomic-measurement study of the human ear. The design comes with three ear-cushion options, an 8mm external speaker and lightweight ear hook.

It carries a talktime of 5.5 hours and a wireless range of up to 10 meters.

The H12 is currently available for a $99.99 suggested retail.
