Phoenix, Ariz. — Bruce Jacobs, 60, a long-time publishing executive presence in the consumer electronics industry and publisher of Custom Retailer and E-Gear magazines, died on Nov. 29 after a brief battle with cancer. Jacobs began his career in consumer electronics publishing in 1988 with AudioVideo International, where he served as associate publisher for 14 years.
