The inspiration for the Pioneer Poet Project came about from being lifetime fans of music, cars, wrenching and being pure car audio enthusiasts. For a long time we have tried to convey our passion behind what we do, why we do it and now, finally, it is here before you in raw, spoken word.
Steve Connell is a new breed of presenter: a multi-faceted hybrid, fusing poetry, comedy, motivational speaking, acting and storytelling into an experience that has been captivating audiences around the world for the past several years. Steve has been featured on ABC World News, Good Morning America, BET and MTV with multiple appearances on Russell Simmon's Def Poetry Jam, performances at the White House, touring with the "Declare Yourself" voter campaign, many corporate appearances for the TED conferences, X-Prize and many more. He has performed for such prominent individuals as President Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou, Quincy Jones, Norman Lear, Hilary Clinton, Will.i.am, Al Gore, Julie Taymore, Coretta Scott King, and many more. His first book of poems Better Bound was released to great acclaim while his highly regarded spoken word album, "Intimate Nature of Knife Fights", remains in high demand.

The Swarm is a short film about an alien invasion in London. Tom created a cradle for the Xperia smartphones so he could rig them up to a tripod and professional monitor, but most of the time shot freestyle, even giving the phones to the actors. In this film he shows the processes involved in the creation of the film
