Redmond, Wash. – Two months after Sony unveiled the first glimpse of its forthcoming PlayStation 4 console and 19 days before the start of E3 in Los Angeles, Microsoft formally announced here Tuesday
its next “all-in-one” entertainment console – the Xbox One.
During a press conference that was broadcast live on the Spike channel and on the Xbox website, the company revealed the new platform will launch later this year, at an undisclosed price.

Las Vegas – TV streaming technology company Media Mall Technologies said Thursday that its PlayOn entertainment media streaming software is now compatible with the Wii U video game console platform.
More than 45 channels of content will now be available via PlayOn on Wii U, including original core services, Hulu, Netflix, YouTube and Amazon VOD.
New key additions include ESPN, ESPN 3, Comedy Central, CNN, Nick, PBS, TLC, Discovery and HBOGo (that latter is available with an HBO cable/satellite TV subscription).

The gaming company said it also sold approximately 300,000 Wii units, 250,000 Nintendo's 3DS units and 275,000 DS units.

The milestone comes less than six years after the platform’s launch in 2006.
Sony is catching up to chief rival Microsoft, which recently announced the same number of sales for the Xbox 360.
Nintendo leads the pack, with sales of an estimated 96 million Wii consoles since 2006.
Hackensack, NJ – Vidyo, a cloud-based video chat technology enabler, said Monday that its software platform will power the Wii U Chat video communication service that is included with new Wii U video game consoles.
Vidyo’s open platform lets game developers embed video chat into their games.
This announcement represents both a major step towards mass consumer adoption of video as a mainstream communication modality and further validation of Vidyo’s powerful software platform as the fabric of visual communication.
