Frigidaire has begun shipping the first products bearing a combined Frigidaire and Electrolux logo.
The new nameplate, Frigidaire From Electrolux, represents the first North American phase of a global re-branding program begun four years ago by Swedish parent Electrolux Group. The new badge will begin appearing on 22 of the company's high-end Professional Series refrigerators, dishwashers and cooking products in October.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
Fisher & Paykel's cooking appliances have been cast in two separate TV shows.
The New Zealand manufacturer's DCS line will be showcased on "America's Test Kitchen," the top-rated PBS series, while a Fisher & Paykel grill and a DCS cooktop will appear on chef Emeril Lagasse's new "Emeril Green" series on the Planet Green network.
Frigidaire/Electrolux has responded to the challenging economic climate, which has seen more families freezing prepared meals, leftovers and sale items, by introducing a new line of upright freezers that combine convenience and style, the company said.

With new, stricter energy requirements looming for the 2001 season, some room air manufacturers have chosen to make few changes in their lines for next summer.
LOUISVILLE, KY. - Under urging from the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), GE has begun offering free repairs on more than 3 million hazardous GE and Hotpoint dishwashers to supplement a year-old recall/rebate program.
Strong demand for room air conditioners and microwave ovens, driven by blistering summer climes, helped send unit shipments of major appliances soaring 19 percent in July.
But the summer scorchers failed to ignite any interest in refrigerators, whose sales traditionally peak in step with the temperature.
Frigidaire remained the country's most advertised refrigerator brand in February, a distinction it has held for 11 of the past 12 months.
That's the word from Beyen Corp. of America, here, which tracks majap and CE ads in more than 100 newspapers across the United States.
Nearly 25 percent of all refrigerator ads culled by Beyen featured Frigidaire-branded products, followed by Kenmore with over 21 percent of ads and Whirlpool with over 11 percent.
