Home >> Cobra Radar Detector Has Touchscreen
Cobra is introducing what it terms the first touchscreen radar detector, and Escort is showing a new speed-camera locator.
The Cobra XRS 9970G radar detector has a 1.5-inch full-color OLED screen that controls most of its functions. The XRS 9970G detects all radar and laser guns and alerts drivers of speed- and red-light traffic cameras. It also includes free updates to the traffic camera data base. The unit will be available in February at a suggested retail of $379.
Escort will show the Passoprt SC55 safety-camera detector with a built-in database of thousands of red-light and fixed-position cameras. The device may be used alone or in combination with select radar detectors to add audible and visual camera alerts.
The SC55 is expected to ship in January at $159 for the stand-alone unit and $179 in a kit for use with other detectors.
This TWICE webinar, hosted by senior editor Alan Wolf, will take a look at what may be the hottest CE products at retail that will be sold during the all-important fourth quarter. Top technologies, market strategies and industry trends will be discussed with industry analysts and executives.
