LAS VEGAS — Dual joined a growing list of aftermarket autosound suppliers offering OE-fit car-A/V and navigation systems that integrate with vehicles’ electronics systems.

The company displayed the first prototype receivers at International CES. The first products will be available in the second half.

Dual and Korean parent Namsung are teaming up with Coagent, China’s largest supplier of custom OEM-fit A/V receivers, to jointly develop OE-fit products for the North American market. Namsung is the largest independent automotive electronics manufacturer in Korea.

Coagent will provide a comprehensive lineup of multimedia systems compatible with the CAN-BUS OEM databus system, which is used by such global automobile brands as Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Ford, Chevrolet, Volkswagen, Hyundai and others, Dual said. Namsung, an aftermarket car A/V manufacturer of more than 40 years, will contribute its knowledge of graphical onscreen interfaces to provide an intuitive, easy-to-use user experience, Dual said.
