SiriusXM satellite radio plans
spring availability of its second-generation
universal tuner for connection to aftermarket
car audio head units available from multiple
The new SXV200V1 SiriusXM Connect Vehicle
Tuner at a suggested $79.99 will deliver
the expanded channel lineup of the broadcaster’s
2.0 satellite service and continues to offer
the convenience features of its predecessor,
including iTunes tagging and ability to pause,
rewind and replay up to 30 minutes of live
programming. Other features that continue include
Song Alert, Artist Alert and Game Alert.
The new and original SiriusXM universal
tuner allows for a standardized one-cable
connection to head units from multiple suppliers.
Previously, installations required addon
adapters for different brands of heads and
multiple wiring connections.
Suppliers with units compatible with the tuner
include Advent, Alpine, Audiovox, Clarion,
Dual, Sony, JVC and Kenwood.
