German Maestro Enters Car Amps, Adds Speakers

LAGUNA HILLS, CALIF. —

German Maestro is expanding
its selection of car audio products with the launch of
its first amplifiers and new speakers, including two threeway
component speakers.

The products will be displayed at International CES and
will ship around show time.

The company, which entered the U.S. market two
years ago, is launching eight products in all, including
the two three-way component speakers, three 2-ohm
speakers designed for OEM replacement, a subwoofer
and two amps.

The amps are the $799-suggested 4×85-watt 5AB48510,
a Class AB amp with low- and high-level inputs variable from
2mV to 8V, a crossover network, subsonic filter and bassboost
function. The $999-suggested 5D110010 Class D
monoblock amp is rated at 1,000 watts into 1-ohm loads and
features low-pass crossover, subsonic filter, phase control
and remote bass-boost control.

The three-way component speaker sets include the
$799-suggested E Class ES804010 and $499 C Class
CS654010. The $799 system features 8-inch midwoofer,
shallow 4-inch midrange and tweeter. The $499 system
consists of a 6.5-inch midwoofer, 4-inch midrange
and tweeter.

In other speakers, all in the 2-ohm C Class, the
company is expanding its C Class selection by three
SKUs. Like their C Class companions, the new 2-ohm
speakers are “very install friendly for upgrades to
OEM systems and add a significant improvement in
SPL when installed with aftermarket head units and
amplifiers,” said German Maestro USA president Ray
Windsor. The new models include the $249-suggested
6.5-inch coaxial CC6508IV2, the $219 5-inch
coaxial CC5008IV2, and the $279 5-inch component
two-way CS5008IV2.

The new subwoofer is the $279 S-Class 8-inch
SW8010HE with a mounting depth of only 3.23 inches.

The products will be displayed in North Hall booth 718
in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
