LAS VEGAS — Escort went to International CES to show off its first remote-start system, which doubles as a security system and vehicle-tracking device.

The QuickStart is currently available for $799, excluding installation. It has three tiers of pricing, depending on the features.

Features include remote start and a security system via an Apple or Android smartphone app. Multiple vehicles can be controlled. It also has arm/disarm, lock/unlock, panic siren, trunk release, GPS tracking, roadside assistance, and Escort’s SmartPark technology, which records a vehicle’s location when the door-lock button is pressed in the app. When the “Find My Car” button is pressed in the app, a map and walking directions are provided, Escort said.
