C13 Remote-Start System
TORRANCE, CALIF. — Auto Page has
updated its C13 remote-start system. The
Gen2 CI3 Hybrid mobile app allows users
to remotely start and control their car’s security
from iPhones, Android smartphones
and BlackBerrys.
The new system will be available in October
for a $299 suggested retail. This includes
one year of service.
The Gen2 C13 features remote starting with
unlimited range and two-way confirmation,
Auto Page said, as well as keyless entry, trunk
release, and remote security arming and disarming.
It also has GPS tracking and locationbased
services, such as Geo fence boundary
alerts, up to four programmable Geo fence
boundary settings, and entry and exit alerts.
These last two alerts can also receive SMS
alerts for security, speed and location.
It also comes with a D/A conversion module
meant to let the C13 be used with other manufacturers’
remote-start systems and OEM apps.
Alpine Ships Sub, Tweeters
TORRANCE, CALIF. — Alpine Electronics
of America said it is shipping the SBR-S83V
enclosed subwoofer and SPR-10TW and
SPS-110TW dome tweeter sets.
The SBR-S83V ($249) consists of an
8-inch Type-R subwoofer in a carpeted enclosure.
Rated at CEA-2031 specs, the
subwoofer has 300W max RMS/900W
peak power capacity.
The SPR-T10W Type-R ($119) and SPS-
110TW Type-S ($79.95) dome tweeter sets
can be installed in a custom location using
the supplied shallow flush mount cup, which
accommodates a 15-degree swivel, Alpine
said. They can also be used as a replacement
for OEM tweeters using the provided
height-adjustable mounting system.
The SPR-10TW has 150W max
RMS/450W peak power capacity, rated at
CEA-2031 specifications. The SPS-110TW
is rated at 100W max RMS/300W peak
power capacity.
