Audiovox is coming to International CES
with the industry’s first automotive Blu-ray player, a refresh
of the Jensen speaker line, and an expanded selection of
OE-look navigation/radios.

In head units, Audiovox last year launched its first two
OE-look nav-equipped infotainment head units, one for
the Toyota Corolla and one for the Toyota Camry. Both
feature touchscreens and Bluetooth. This year, Audiovox
is bringing these features to nine more OE-look head units
and announcing intentions to deliver another eight to 10
more before the third quarter, all targeted to expediters.
The new OE-look models consist of a universal double-
DIN model for any vehicle with a double-DIN opening, a
model for multiple Volkswagen models, a Honda Civic
model, a Honda CRV model, a Hyundai Sonata model,
a Hyundai Santa Fe model, a Toyota Highlander model,
a Toyota RAV4 model, a model for multiple GM vehicles,
and one for multiple GM vehicles with Bose systems.
All offer built-in navigation, Parrot Bluetooth, touchscreens
in 7- and 8-inch sizes, Made for iPod/iPhone capability,
and XM–ready controls.
Jensen speakers:
For the retail aftermarket, Audiovox
is launching its first new Jensen speakers in years. The
Revolution series consists of eight coaxial and tri-axial
speaker sizes starting at promotional prices. They feature
an aggressive look, piano-black finish and high-gloss red
center. Pricing and ship dates were unavailable.
Blu-ray player:
The player, shipping in April at a suggested
$349, will assume the Advent brand name for the expediter
channel and the Audiovox brand for retail channels.
The single-DIN slot-loading model mounts in the dash, under
a seat or in the trunk and can be connected to any in-car
monitor via HDMI, composite or component outputs. It comes
with RF wireless remote and an iPod/iPhone USB input.
