Hoya to Shut Pentax Digicam Factory

Hoya will shutter a Pentax digital camera factory in Japan and move camera manufacturing to facilities in Vietnam and the Philippines “to improve competitiveness,” Bloomberg reports. According to the report, Hoya will offer early retirement to 250 of its employees at its factory in Mashiko, Tochigi prefecture. More
