Off To Denver And CEDIA Expo

August 28, 2008

A few days after the Democrats leave the Mile High City, custom installers, full-line manufacturers and those suppliers who specialize in upscale CE products will converge on Denver to attend CEDIA Expo.

Like the major appliance industry, many custom installers have taken it on the chin this year due to the housing crisis and credit crunch. Yet some surveys indicate that HDTV and related categories will show growth by the end of the year, and CEDIA Expo itself is expecting a record crowd. Attendance is growing for this show and CEDIA is prepared, moving to a larger venue in Atlanta beginning in 2009 for three years.

Much of the industry will be flying into Denver on Tuesday after the traditional end of summer, the Labor Day weekend. By Wednesday, the day before the show floor opens, companies like Lutron Electronics, LG Electronics, Panasonic, Toshiba, SpeakerCraft, Sony, Sharp and Stewart Filmscreen will hold press conferences. The drumbeat for the media continues on Thursday with more events and with booth appointments.

TWICE will be there to cover all the news of the show via our special CEDIA Expo print edition, as well as e-newsletters, e-blasts and blogs from the show, and maybe an occasional video or two from yours truly.

Have a great Labor Day weekend and we’ll see you in Denver.
