Popcorn Makers And Blu-ray Players

February 3, 2010

ShopRite has begun selling consumer electronics through its own online store, as evidenced by an email offer I received this morning from them. The site, www.shopritedelivers.com, has a fairly diverse selection of CE, including Canon digital cameras, Apple iPods, Garmin and TomTom GPS systems, Nintendo’s DSi, and even a Memorex Blu-ray player. It looks like the site is managed by a company called MyWebGrocer.

I’m used to seeing in-store CE selections at the grocery stores, but this was something new for me. The site is pretty bare bones - no products descriptions or reviews. But the prices are competitive, so it’s very possible consumers will do their research elsewhere and then shop there if the best price can be found.
