Monster Cable Mourns Passing Of Daniel Graham
The following statement was issued today by Monster Cable:
“It is with great sadness that Monster announces the passing of Daniel Graham, who succumbed to a prolonged illness on Sunday, October 11. Daniel has been a much beloved member of the Monster family since he joined the company in 1992. Since 1995 he has served as ‘PR Monster,’ where he played an integral role in all marketing and communications initiatives.
” ‘There wasn’t anyone who didn’t love Daniel,’ said Noel Lee, the Head Monster. ‘The essence of a good PR man, he was everyone’s friend, despite the hardships with his health. He had a strong will to succeed and always to please. But above all, Daniel had heart, and lots of it. Like the Tin Man in The Wizard of Oz, he was the guy you love to love. He was a very special Monster and we will all miss him.’ “
Allan Richter commented:
Daniel was living proof that decency and good business practices are compatible. He was an approachable and good-natured soul. It was a pleasure to know him, even if only through business. May his memory sustain his family.
Micah Sheveloff commented:
When I was a trade editor, Daniel always got me what I needed with grace and efficiency. I would seek him out at shows for a handshake and a quick but friendly update. Daniel was one of those unique members of our community who truly sparkled and helped make our adventurous journey memorable. Thank you, Daniel! Much peace…

Oh, Daniel. A year of Saturdays spent with you writing a screenplay were the sunniest ever - indoors or out. You made this world a better place with your humor, candor, and warmth. I wish I had told you while you were here, but I just have to have faith that you know how many people believe that.

This is sad news indeed. Whether arranging interviews or just getting product information to the press, Daniel was the consummate professional. But he did things with heart and thus became a friend. The industry will miss him.

I worked with Daniel during my years as the “International Monster.” Such a great person and always willing to not only listen, but pitch in help. He was instrumental in developing some strong relationships with a great number of industry magazines. I will always remember his open and honest approach to his job, and more important his life… not to mention his jokes. Daniel, all the best my friend…I will miss bumping into you at CES this year….

I was Daniel’s manager for a total of 8.5 years and he was just a wonderful guy. Always willing to please and to go the extra mile. And no one at Monster did better at the company’s legendary halloween costume contests. Well Daniel, Godspeed and I hope they’ve got great sound and picture wherever you are.
