PNY Goes To The Prom

PNY Technologies has launched a photo contest that ties into high school prom season.

The contest — titled “Oh’Snap! It’s the PNY Prom Photo Contest” — gives high school seniors the chance to upload their best prom photo to www.pny.com/ohsnap in a chance to win a $2,000 scholarship award and a PNY flash-memory product assortment valued at $250.

Photos will be judged based on the following criteria: theme (30 percent), originality (25 percent), creativity (25 percent) and innovation (20 percent). PNY said the winner will be selected on or about Aug. 1, and eligibility is limited to current high school seniors attending a prom and who reside in the United States.

No word on whether the kids who wear sneakers with their tuxes will get a higher or lower score.

(My prom was 12 years ago, and, yes, I realize that last sentence probably doesn’t make much sense anymore.)
