Another VoIP Provider Bites The Dust

December 12, 2007

NetZero Voice from United Communications has left the building. In a 2006 report, the research firm Telephia placed them fifth among pure-play VoIP providers in terms of subscribers. Their customers will be offered services from 8×8.

8×8 had previously disclosed this deal but did not say at the time which VoIP firm was going under. That led me to speculate that it could be AT&T’s CallVantage service (nor was I alone). Looks like I was wrong. It happens.
