A post-Thanksgiving distribution feast:

 

  • DBL Distributing said it will be the exclusive distributor of NXG Technology’s new five-second speaker wire termination system, the NX-ST101, when it becomes available next month. In a separate announcement, DBL also said it recently added camera bags from Tamrac Carrying Solutions to its lineup. 
  • ArchBrook Laguna added the Toshiba 500GB HDD to its portfolio. 
  • DSI Systems launched a new Web site at www.dsisystemsinc.com. According to the company, the new sites key features include a dealer log-in, access to catalog information and spec sheets, a new look and feel, improved navigation over its old site, and access to DSI’s fulfillment and inventory software tool. 
  • DSI said it will add dealer-specific pricing, an online shopping cart, dealer statements and invoices in the first quarter of 2009. 
  • CED said it had been appointed as the Yamaha audio products distributor for Northern Illinois and central and east Wisconsin. Product should be available for shipment by the “second or third week of December,” according to the distributor. 
  • Petra announced the addition of Scandyna speakers and speaker accessories to its lineup. 
  • The EDGE Distributors Group shipped its new 16-page holiday catalog. It is said to feature custom-installation solutions from Anthony Gallo Acoustics, DLO, Furman and numerous other companies. 
  • ADI will distribute Wi-Ex’s line of cellphone signal boosters. 
  • SnapAV announced it is extending its free shipping program in the U.S. through the second quarter of 2009.
  • Ingram Micro appointed Lisa Locklear to the position of senior VP and chief financial officer, North America. Locklear has been with Ingram Micro since 2003 when she joined as the finance VP for North America.
