Chicago Drops Broadband Plan

Chicago has ditched a plan to blanket the city with wireless broadband Internet, the Associated Press reported. The reason for the scrap — too high of a cost — isn’t surprising, but it is disappointing that the push failed, given the U.S. placement of worldwide broadband penetration.
