KISS Blames File Sharing For Industry Demise
June 20, 2008

KISS

Click on the image above if you've forgotten what KISS is all about.

Apparently Gene Simmons' obscenely long tongue is for lashing out at music fans:

"The record industry is dead. It's six feet underground and unfortunately the fans have done this. They've decided to download and file share. There is no record industry around so we're going to wait until everybody settles down and becomes civilized. As soon as the record industry pops its head up we'll record new material." [Hat tip: ARS]

My sense is that the lack of “new material” from KISS owes less to BitTorrent and more to the fact that no one would want to buy albums from a bunch of washed up, grumpy has-beens.
