Endless Energy
September 12, 2007

When I read stories like this about new battery technology, I get a boost of confidence that maybe we can outsmart our way out of the energy crisis.

If EEStor can come up with a bank of capacitors to super charge a car, imagine what a smaller version could do for the CE/computer industry. We could see laptops that would recharge in seconds, and no more batteries for boomboxes, digital cameras and everything else.

This is all pretty exciting stuff with the proviso that EEStor’s invention does not fail like so many others.

I hope you are right Doug. If ever the “weak link” theory could be seen in action, this is it. We have a multitude of new century devices that are limited by mid last century battery technology. A plethora of “everything, all the time, anywhere” capability whose true ability is governed by battery life little improved in the last 25 years.
