D-Tools has extended its selection of custom-installation-management software to include two new programs that automate product ordering for installers and manufacturer sales reps.
The packages, OrderTools and RepTools, can be linked to D-Tools Si software, which manages the design, engineering, documentation, estimating, installation and sales processes.
Si lets salespeople, project managers, engineers, and installers work from the same document so they can immediately see any revisions made by any other employee.
When Si is linked with OrderTools, the design and bidding processes are linked to the processes of creating purchase orders and tracking orders, eliminating the manual entering and reentering of data. The dealer emails an Excel spreadsheet to a sales rep who, using RepTools, views the file as a purchase order.
RepTools also lets reps automatically format the purchase order in the preferred format of different vendors and send the purchase order via the manufacturer's preferred communication channel — fax or email. RepTools also lets reps track orders.
