Crestron Adds Touchpanel

Rockleigh, N.J. — Crestron expanded its in-wall touch panel selection to include a 10.4-inch model, complementing models with 3.8-inch, 6-inch, 12-inch and 15-inch screens. The TPS-4000L controls A/V systems, drapes, lights and HVAC systems through its 640 by 480 color touch screen and five hard buttons. It displays video sources connected to its composite- and S-video inputs and scales the video to any size window or to the full screen. It can be used to preview movies in a home theater or security-camera video.

Elan Teams With Ripper

Lexington, Ky. — Installers of Elan's Via! dj music servers will be able to offer Ready To Play's music-ripping and loading service to customers who purchase one of the servers. Under a co-marketing agreement between Elan and Ready to Play of Palo Alto, installers will directly contact Ready To Play for their customers and mark up the service in lieu of trying to do it themselves.
