Warren, N.J. – Virgin Mobile is extending its promotional partnership with Lady Gaga by sponsoring her 2013 Born This Way Ball tour in North America.
Through the tour, the cellular-prepaid brand said, Virgin Mobile will educate concert-goers about youth homelessness and ask fans to support Virgin’s Re*Generation program, which focuses on the issue, and Lady Gaga’s youth empowerment organization, called the Born This Way Foundation.
At each concert, one fan will be selected to have a $5,000 donation made to a local youth homeless shelter of the fan’s choice. The fan will also get the opportunity to increase the donation by spreading the word or volunteering for the cause. The fan will also get a “special surprise” from Lady Gaga, Virgin said.
Fans at the shows will also be encouraged to tweet pictures of themselves, and for each tweet, Virgin Mobile USA will donate $1 to a local youth homeless shelter.
